Knowledgable and Professional

I recently completed the equine massage and bodywork course with Karen Saindon. I was thoroughly impressed by the quality of the program.
Karen is an exceptionally knowledgeable, kind and patient instructor who demonstrated genuine passion for both teaching and animal care. Her deep understanding of equine anatomy and her patience and ability to communicate the concepts made this learning experience very enjoyable. Although the course is taught in a relaxed atmosphere, it was well structured and professionally delivered and it includes excellent practicum at wonderful facilities.
I have gained invaluable skills and confidence through Karen’s mentorship program, and I am very grateful for the opportunity to learn from her. If you are considering learning about the anatomy of a horse or equine massage and bodywork, this is who you want as an instructor.
Excellent Foundation of Massage and Bodywork

I completed the Equine Massage and Bodywork course with Karen. She offers an excellent foundation for becoming a skilled equine massage and bodywork therapist through in-depth discussions on anatomy and hands-on experiences demonstrating unique and effective treatment techniques.
Karen is not only an outstanding teacher but also a fantastic mentor, and I will always take any opportunity to learn more from her.
The Skills I learned made me a better horse owner.

I met Karen when I took her Equine Massage Course. She has an amazing ability to teach. She is a fountain of information. She’s so
patient , caring, understanding, encouraging and passionate.
When I was doubting if I could finish this course she was the driving force.
She believed in all of her students and she has a way that makes you feel like you can accomplish anything. She is an amazing person.
The skills that I learned from her has made me a better horse owner.
Well, after one treatment, I am prancing through my daily walk again and running laps around the yard.

My name is Dusty (my humans call me “Buns”), and I am a 14+ year old Border Collie Lab cross who was rescued through Portage Animal Welfare Society (PAWS). For the last two years I have struggled more and more to go for long walks and runs around the yard. My humans thought it might be arthritis in my hips, but the Dog Doctor said “No”. We did not know what it could be. My human decided to enroll in a Canine Massage and Bodywork course to see if that might help me. Well, after one treatment, I am prancing through my daily walk again and running laps around the yard with my fur brother Teddy. My human jokes and says “What happened to Buns? This can’t be our dog”. I feel great – wagging my tail and enjoying how “spunky” I feel. Thanks, Miss Karen, for teaching my human Canine Massage!!
Karen’s knowledge, enthusiasm and sense of humour provided a fun and valuable learning experience.

I remember clearly talking to my friend, Sheila, who said she was having someone come to massage her horse.
I was new to riding, at 56, and had always been interest in massage, so asked if I could come watch. I got to see Karen work her magic and hear the story of how she came to believe in the power of equine massage.
My friend, Verbena and I signed up for her next class. That was in October 2022.
It was a deep dive into horse anatomy and movement with lots of opportunity for massage practice. Karen’s knowledge, enthusiasm and sense of humour provided a fun and valuable learning experience.
Not only did I get a good foundation for equine massage, the learning gave me a deeper understanding of how, as a rider, it is so important to understand horse biomechanics.
I've used my knowledge and practice with my lesson horses. As a new horse owner, I am so glad I invested in this education. I get to use it make to my horse feel better and to connect with her.
Thanks Karen
Truly an exceptional course and highly recommended.

I have studied and schooled myself on many aspects on rehab for both horses, the human body and most recently canine health.
I have to say that Karen’s course on “canine massage and wellness” was just outstanding.
The small class gave us more intimate time with her. We studied hands-on twice a day with dogs for the practical part of her course and the detail of the muscular skeletal was excellent. We downloaded notes in advance to be ready and prepared for class, along with diagrams. Question and answers throughout the day.
Truly an exceptional course and highly recommended.
Thank you Karen
Gained a much deeper understanding of the canine body, structure, and nervous system.

Learning Karen’s approach to Canine Massage and Bodywork has taught me the importance of building a deep, intentional connection with our furry pals on an entirely new level.
After more than 16 years as a dog groomer, gaining a much deeper understanding of the canine body, structure, and nervous system and how we can positively influence a dog’s physical and emotional state has added tremendous value to my work. I now feel better equipped to support dogs throughout the grooming process and to offer specialized sessions for those who need extra relief and care.
Karen’s wisdom and guidance have been incredibly meaningful, and I’m excited about the opportunities this training has opened for me.
