Welcome to Willowbrook Wellness Academy

If you feel called to listen more deeply to animals—to understand what their bodies are quietly asking for—you've found your home.

We're not your typical massage school. At Willowbrook, we don't teach to a test. We teach to mastery. Our programs are built on a simple but powerful principle: an 80% score still means 20% of the material wasn't fully understood. Those gaps create bigger problems down the road in confidence, skill, and the quality of care you can provide.

That's why we do things differently.

Our mentorship-based approach ensures you graduate with complete confidence and competence—not just a certificate. You'll learn from highly experienced instructors who identify exactly where knowledge gaps exist and guide you personally into deeper understanding. And our support doesn't end at graduation. You carry our name into the field, and we're committed to ensuring you're prepared to do exceptional work.

This is education that honors both you and the animals you'll serve.

Interested in Both?

Combine Equine and Canine Knowledge

Many of our students pursue dual certification to build comprehensive animal bodywork practices serving both horses and dogs. Contact us to discuss dual enrollment options.

The Willowbrook Difference

Traditional certification programs focus on passing exams. We focus on creating confident, skilled practitioners who truly understand animal wellness from the inside out.

  • No Knowledge Gaps

We don't let students move forward with incomplete understanding. Our instructors work closely with each student to identify gaps and provide personalized guidance. You graduate when you've achieved mastery—not just when you've completed assignments. This is how we ensure your success and protect the animals you'll work with.

  • Nervous System-Focused Bodywork

Our approach goes deeper than mechanical technique. Led by Karen Saindon—who spent 40 years as an dispatcher and trained trauma response teams—our programs emphasize understanding the nervous system, recognizing trauma responses, and working with the whole animal, not just their muscles. This perspective transforms good bodywork into profound healing.

  • Lifeleong Support

Your education doesn't end when the course ends. As a Willowbrook graduate, you have lifetime access to mentorship and guidance. When questions arise in the field—and they will—we're here to support you. Your success is our reputation. We're invested in your entire career, not just your tuition.
